News Flash!!!

There's a headline on Yahoo this morning that says MP3 players may cause hearing loss.

What's next? Big Macs make you fat?

I'm glad that the news world is keeping me abreast of all that's happening.

Yeah, I fully expect to be deaf when I'm older. I walk around constantly with my iPod on at top volume.

But it's worth it to hear Sufjan Stevens as loud as possible as I walk around NYC.

I was recently shocked to learn that sitting at a computer all day can cause you to lose your eyesight. Heavens! I had no idea!

what i don't understand is, weren't discmans and walkmans just as dangerous when played loudly? i mean, everyone had walkmans and discmans playing loudly and it wasn't as big a deal. once ipod came out all these hearing loss warnings came out, as if the format change suddenly made the loud music more dangerous.

meh.

To quote Conan O'Brien, "Why doesn't the government just get off our backs?"
